We have been shooting product for some time now so when Wonder approached us to try a little something different from the past, we were excited to do it. Premium lifestyle has been a category that we always wanted to try but not having the right brand to do so. When we spoke to Wonder, we suggested to go in this premium lifestyle shooting direction. Thankfully, Wonder trusted us with the idea and gave us to freedom to run it.
Concept and Idea
For the whole series, we picked a slightly dark lighting for the product to stand out from the environment. Additionally, for the props, we source them specifically to give an overall vibe of subtle premium. The lamp, the chair, the coffee table, it was all picked contiously
As for the colours, aligning with the lighting, we picked colour that are slightly dull and avoiding, bright, attention catching colours.
The brand that we were shooting is Wonder. For this series, we shot a total of 6 products. The come in various shapes and sizes, and definitely made the shoot more interesting, for them to be placed in different settings while maintaining the same mood.
Something to note while working on this project was that Wonder team has been fully supportive of our ideas. Some ideas would have been rejected as either considered unconventional or controversial for some brands, Wonder team has been willing to give it a try and see how they turns out. Undoubtedly, we are grateful for client like them to gave us their trust and bring the ideas to life.
It was definitely a fun one working on this. From researching for ideas, hunting for props, up till shooting. We definitely look forward to work on this style for more upcoming projects.
