Groovy, bouncy, psychedelic. That is how I would describe Sunni Colon‘s music. I stumble upon his music while listening to Jeffrey International Presets: playlist. Shoutout to PREP for curating such an amazing playlist and updating them so frequently. Sunni Colon has always surprise his listeners with his adventurous choice in presenting his music. In this article, we will discuss about his 2018 album Satin Psicodelic, an elevated 7 songs album.

A little background
Colon started by uploading tracks on SoundCloud in 2013. In the following year, his song Temple was discovered by a Hollywood music supervisor. In 2016, he released his first EP titled Thierry Disko. Fast forward to 2018, his second album Satin Psicodelic was released.
Other than music, Colon also started his design company called Tetsu. Moreover, he created a multi-sensory art installation Manifest 1.0 at the Founders Lab in Brooklyn.

Satin Psicodelic
In my opinion, I find Satin Psicodelic is a very interesting album. In it, each song emitting its own vibe, but does not differ from each other when presenting as a whole album.
While I find every song in the album enjoyable, here are my top 3:
- Technicolor
- Mornin Dew
- Strands of the Future
And here are my top 3 summarised in a music video. First, what you hear is Mornin Dew, followed by Strands of the Future, then Technicolor.

Technicolor
Technicolor is the first track on the album. The song started off with a steady tempo and gradually adding more elements to it. Interesting to see it fits to the theme of the song, like adding colours to a canvas.

Mornin Dew
Mornin Dew caught my attention with the strumming patterns on an electric guitar. A fairly catchy song with repeated catch phrase – “I’m looking for real love“. Interestingly, he also added a outro for the song. You may find his live performance on A COLORS SHOW here.

Strands of the Future
Strands of the Future switches up the mood real quick with its transition near 17s mark. From there on, fast paced beats took over while Colon continue on with his lay-back voice, which makes an interesting combination. After making it a song to dance to, a guitar solo cuts in suites the dancing mood perfectly.
