Thinking which cafe to visit next? World of Phalaenopsis might just be the right place for you to take a road trip out of the busy city to have a cup of coffee. Situated in Ulu Yam, about a 45 mins drive from KL city, this picturesque cafe is serving in blooms of orchids. World of Phalaenopsis is actually an orchid producer in Malaysia and sells all kinds of orchid needs.
Little cafe in an orchid farm
Inside this orchid farm, there is a hidden little cafe to serve their visitors. The cafe is brightly lit with sunlight through its half-transparent roof and windows. Surprisingly, the cafe is not warm at all and super comfortable in its temperature. Every corner of the cafe is also carefully decorated mainly with orchids.
Every corner a painting
The cafe is separated into several spaces and each area is uniquely designed. Each corner is like a painting, and you can definitely find a corner you like. In my opinion, I like the Japanese Style Chabudai area and the centre area, good place to have a chat with your friends and family. Other than that, the cafe is quite spacious and could accommodate a larger crowd for gatherings.
Food and Drinks
Highly recommended to try their Nasi Lemak with Ayam Rendang. The chicken is soft, tender and flavourful. We did ordered a second plate to share. Additionally, we tried their Cheese Cake and Hot Latte. For those who love a little sourness for cheesecake, you can give it a try. As for the hot latte, I think it was alright.
Overall, it was a nice place to visit. A great experience for those who love to be surrounded with flowers, while sipping a cup of coffee. Moreover, you can bring back some souvenirs by purchasing some orchids for your garden. A nice trip out of the busy KL city.
