Petit Gâteau of Crème De La Crème

Over the last 6 months, I have been working with closely with Crème De La Crème (CDLC) to create different concept shoot for their seasonal Petit Gâteau. It was a challenge to bring out the best look of each Petit Gâteau. Nonetheless, it was a fun process in creating these work and especially how well-received it was.

Thus, I would like to share some of my best work with CDLC in this post.

Am I an Avocado?

Am I an Avocado is an Avocado ice cream complemented with Coffee Caramel ice cream, and with a Gula Melaka touch. Although many has questioned if the Petit Gâteau is really an ice cream. Well, that just further reassure the success of this work.

Slutty Brownie

From the photos and name suggest, it is a sloppy, messy, dirty but delicious dessert. Drowned in warm chocolate sauce and a scoop of cold Madagascar Vanilla ice cream on top. Furthermore, we created a video for the Slutty Brownie and you can view it here.

Ice Cream Mooncake (Limited Edition)

This set of Petit Gâteau was specially design for the 2020 Mooncake Festival. Mist are created using dry ice, and the moon is a cut out from a coloured paper. A full detail post was dedicated to this series, you can check them out here.

Monsters

The concept behind Monster is to create the overcrowding, invading scenario. Minions from Despicable Me is a huge inspiration for this set. Thus, yellow was used to give relevance and also respect to the inspiration.

The Classics

The Classics are some of the original Petit Gâteau in CDLC. First on the left, Longevity is hiding in a bed of flowers, or pop out of it. In the middle, I moved your cheese, is aimed to look like a mice invasion but retain its cuteness. Lastly, Beauty & the Beast took direct inspiration from the movie and covered the surface with rose petals.

Christmas Collection

For the Christmas Collection Petit Gâteau, we recreated a snowy winter in an enchanted garden, by using icing sugar. The clean-up definitely took a lot of effort but are all worth it seeing the end product. Other than that, we also recreated a warm Christmas dinner scene to help viewer relate the Petit Gâteau is what you will have in during a Christmas dinner!
