Cafe 1988 is a little cafe shop in Muar, situated at Jalan Dato Haji Hassan. Painted in white and embellished with wooden design, this cafe blended in with its surrounding. While green plants starting to creep into this little cafe, aroma of coffee beans slipped out of it. We were definitely happy to have found out about this cafe on Google Maps.
White walls and transparent roof
We arrived at the cafe a drizzling late afternoon. The interior took a white, earthy approach giving a relaxing ambience. The space was just nicely spaced out, as crowds started coming in for coffee and desserts. Greeneries are used to decorate the space. In addition to that, some natural light came through the transparent roof brightening up the cafe.
Food and Drinks
We ordered a hot latte, iced Americano, and a burnt cheese cake. The hot latte was smooth and I was pleased with the good coffee. However for the cheese cake, if you like a creamier one, you might like this. Other than that, Cafe 1988 do have hot food on their menu.
In conclusion, I would love to come back here on our next visit to Muar. This 7-years-old cafe do serve good coffee and provides a good environment, especially when you are looking for a place to hang after lunch.
